Do teething babies need medicine on their gums? NO

What can you do to soothe a teething baby?
Gently massage the baby's sore gums with your finger.
Provide something cool (not frozen) to chew on like a teething ring or wet wash cloth. Be sure that the object is not a choking hazard. It is not recommended that you provide anything frozen-- the hard, extra-cold object can cause more damage than good.
